Touching Memories
~*Marge Tindal*~

Sweet
total recall of
moments that fall
in soft surrender
so very tender
Touching one
is to cherish again
relishing the pleasure
Picking it up,turning
it over and over
feeling the
same tenderness
that caused me to
tuck it away in the
attic of my mind
for rainy nights
like this
when I needed
to be remembering you
I draw it close to my lips
and breathe new life into it
It inflates to lift me higher
than I've been for a while
I float in surreal splendor
oblivious that you are
simply a memory
at play

What a lovely poem you have written.

Memories of a loved one are sometime's all we have left of them, and of the time's we cherished the most.

I look forward to reading more of your poems.

Wow! That's really bringing a memory back to life! What a great intimate write Marge right out of the depths of the soul....excellent!!

I like this one very much, Marge. *S* Not only is it so visually appealing, you share the feeling of remembered splendor... and the tenderness of memories touches the reader. *S*

Memories are such funny things...we pull them out and shine them up all pretty...get all starry eyed over them...then pack them away again til the next time...sometimes they get in the way of moving on...and other times they are what motivates us...this was lovely

I love to go back and memories are such a way to make us smile. It sure is nice also if you can look back on a not so good memory and take in that it was just a single moment in life, learn from it, and smile as you put that box away. For all the good ones, they seem to stay with us even if we don't realize it... I think that's why we can get through most days. Great write!!

'sometimes they get in the way of moving on...and other times they are what motivates us'

I just LOVE this line of thought.
Thank you.

Saunni~
Sometimes, just the remembering is enough.
Playing with our memories is what keeps them fresh in our hearts.
