“MEET ME IN FOREVER”

All the days of our happiness, have come and gone,
years have but disappeared,
as I watched every dawn …
But I can still remember, all of the times spent with you,
the many caresses,
and tender words spoken, to continue…

Being together with you, was so very close and loving,
but it started to change,
perhaps togetherness, became afflicting…
Caring gentle smiles were fewer, tender whispers less frequent,
soft touches were slowly dying,
and two hearts almost absent…

But if the closeness still dwells within, that we once shared,
and if the flame still burns,
as once before when we cared…
You’ll listen to sweet words that I say, and hear my plea,
as I’ll be there, in forever,
and you will find me…

So I ask you to open your heart, and listen to it sing,
for if you’ll “Meet Me In Forever”,
I promise you, my golden ring…

Heartfelt, honest emotion. Beautiful. When we can see honestly, from both sides, is when we finally can be free. *gentle smile*
Wonderful! I loved it.

The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges.
