Willow Maid

Willow Maid
on bank of stream
render unto me
moonlight's beam

in thinnest nail
still light doth shine
render unto me
the love of thine

allow a shimmer
in her beauteous eyes
yield forth to me
her sweet surprise

with willow's wand
invoke thy muse
let Erato forth
and her lyrics loose

and upon your wand
as the Earth doth spin
bring to me my love
let me draw her within

upon this green bank
by flowing stream
bring to my love
some ancients' dream

and should a Fay
come play some fraud
lend thee protection
with thy willow's rod

and steal away not
my love from me
for she is my soul
and my harmony

O Willow Maid
in thin moonlight
cast thy shadows
in purest light

let not the Graces
come steal me away
for by my love
shall I ever stay

I loved the flow of this Sunshine, it really drew me in with each word. The muses are with us tonight. *s*

Enjoy life...this is NOT a dress rehearsal. *s*

This is exquisite - I want to print it, mask it, frame it and hang it on my wall
