My threadbare horizon, I desire
To be as the world
Well-rounded, never ending

I want to stretch to the farthest sea
Where my dreams are hurled
There my self, extending

My head is throbbing
From behind
I want to burn these words
Into your mind
So they may not be hard to find
I want to rewrite your mind
But then again who am I?

I’m nobody it’s said
I’d like to fill your head
I’m nobody I’m dead

Who am I?
I’m nobody it’s said
I stretch to be read
I’m nobody I’m dead
I’d like to fill your head

Who am I?
I search for wings to shed
I’m nobody it’s said
I stretch to be read
I’d like to fill your head
I’m nobody I’m dead

Who am I?
I’m nobody I’m dread
I must be somebody instead
You’ve allowed me to fill your head
I’m nobody I’m dead
That’s what somebody said
I search for wings to shed

How can a nobody who shed his wings ever find himself
When the fading signs all point to the sun
Where my horizon burns in my searing eyes
Not until the shades of the day is done

I’m fishing in the sea of countless horizons
I caught a red herring and threw it right back
I gathered my dreams as bait on my hook
So that tomorrow I may fill my sack

Somebody told me I have sure-fire potential
Talking to yourself is a certain credential

Walt~
Well .... you are certifiably a POET !

I really like this line of thought ~
Especially ...

'I’m fishing in the sea of countless horizons
I caught a red herring and threw it right back
I gathered my dreams as bait on my hook
So that tomorrow I may fill my sack'

Oh, YES !

<*\\\><

I know not what the future holds,
but I know Who holds the future.

I don't question YOUR existance - GOD
