When first I Came

When I first came upon you I was clothed in night
I was lonely I was desolate I couldn’t see the light
The stars didn’t know me, for me they didn’t shine
I’d lost my way and hope, I was so very far from fine
I came upon you on my way it was quite by chance
You smiled, beckoning me to join in poetic dance

My first steps here were awkward I was so unsure
All I knew was that here I found my missing core
My spirit unfurled like a rose just starting to bloom
My life was a tapestry taking its shape on the loom
Your poetic words gave me the stitches of my heart
I think that right here was where I began to start

My poetic ramblings you read and didn’t turn away
Just for that I’d be thanking you forever and a day
I wouldn’t say my writings are beautiful but it’ll do
As long as I can stay here for all eternity with you
You are the reason to my rhyme don’t you now see
That here in this haven my refuge I found beauty

I’ve likened you to wines to flowers and other things
You Passionate Poets are the reason my soul sings
I can’t explain the magic that calls forth my heart
My friends and my family here I will never be apart
You given me so much you’ve restored my lost soul
I thank you Passions Poets for making me whole

Marsha

Magic

Never did believe in magic
It wasn't for the likes of me
Cheap tricks with smoke and mirrors
Speedy hand deceives the eye
No such thing as magic
Sadly, I breathe a sigh

Could there be a little magic
Whispered in the words of song
Running through my life I stumble
You took my hand and helped me rise
Could there be a little magic
Shining softly in your eyes

Maybe I believe in magic
Could it be there for me
Painting my heart and life with rainbows
Spining starlight through my dreams
Maybe there's some special magic
Maybe it's not only dreams

Truly I believe in magic
Nerver saw it there before
Can't imagine life and love without it
Magic, magic everywhere
Yes there's really magic
It fills me spills me everywhere
Beverley

Take back the hope you gave,- I claim
Only a memory of the same

Mushy,
We're so glad you came
you've made a sort of fame
your path here has been cleft with laughter
if you left, no happy ever after

I loved your phoenix rising
and your bid to push horizons
admired the way you smiled through pain
and always ounced, came back again

I've enjoyed your poetic musings
and you're challenges some of which were bruising
Let's raise our glass and give a hand
for Beverly, Marsha, Mushy, Puck, Dear Heart, Grace, and the rest has reached 3000

CONGRATULATIONS DEAR ONE! KNOW YOU ARE LOVED!

Sister of the Phoenix
You have indeed risen again
and we have been the ones to see your heart
a heart of light and of love
rescued from the night of pain

fly on tender one, fly on and fly free
for in the song of your wings
it is your life that we see

To my Sister in the Phoenix. . . congratulations love. . . you have indeed grown and become renewed in every day that you have been here. . . I am honored to call you my friend. . . and hope that you will remain for a long time to come. . .

These poems are just a sign of how far you've really come. . . and we are so proud of you. . .
