This Too Shall Pass
~*Marge Tindal*~

Sometimes upon a mountain of strength
comes a menacing shadow
that lays across the shoulder
of the boulder
Drapes sorrow in muted shades of gray
that does not go away
with just the peeking streaking of the sun
A dormant haze clinging to the landscape of life
bringing intimate strife that is not easily sloughed off
Scoff ! ... this too shall pass

~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~

Marge,
free verse that has more in its composition than any structured verse I ever penned. I love the imagery in this write. It is Black Velvet!

Marge what great expression...don't you often wonder how a shadow can be so heavy...you continue to amaze and sometimes amuse us all..

All smiles here, Marge...the title says it all and the poem is absolutely perfect. Peace and light to you, my friend.

There are shadows in life but we must move on out of them...to where we know the light is...Beautiful write.

See, I keep telling myself this but I don't listen to myself. I'm going to read this a dozen more times and hope that I listen to you. Thanks!
