In the space between moments

Phantasmal embrace--
Arms molded from fibers of wind
Coiling around my form...
The gentle, illusory caress
Casting a succession of shivers
Fluttering across my skin.

I allow my eyelids to fall
And your luminescence to pull me
Into catatonic bliss-- rendered paralyzed
By the way your eyes send whispers
Shooting deep into my soul.

I can sense your breath
Tingling...lingering upon my face
As with an airy sigh
I let your memory possess me
And the ghosts of your fingers
Traverse upon my curves.

My tears subside for the moment
That your image flickers here
Within secluded daydreams
For I can have you near-- like this
Even if it’s only in my thoughts...

*Krista Knutson*

I'm a slow dying flower
In a frost-killing hour
The sweet turning sour and untouchable...

Though completely different in it's use of imagery in this piece compared to one of a tree that was so beautifully written by you, it's magnitude of impact is the same. Awesome write and I am sure it will be just as memorable as the other piece I mentioned.

Krista, even if they're only in our thoughts, that can help an awful lot...beautiful work.

When you find your muse there is nothing that can stop you I loved the title and things just got better from there. I think I know where you're coming from with this one, dear. I want to be that for you again. Beautiful poetry, my love, filled with flow and grace

Soft and sensuous...beautifully penned.

such intensity girlie!!!
such unique imagery and vocabulary as well.
awesome writing K,...
very cool use of physical imagery to show the intensity of the emotions being expressed.
and hey...If Mark says it compares to your "tree" poem...
it must be great...
he still raves about that poem...
its one of his most favs of any poet...
here or "famous" ...

Sharon- Thanks, I appreciate it!

Mark- Green Velvet Queen? Is that the one you're reffering to? It must be because thats the only tree one I've written for a while...anyways, I'm glad you liked both of them, thank you so much for your support.

Maree- LOL, your muse is much more seasoned than my own, I'm afraid...I hope yours comes back soon so I can see more of your wonderful work! Thanks for reading my friend, I love hearing from you.

Elizabeth- So many things can help us in so many ways...thanks for the kind comments my friend!

Abrahm- Thank you for your kindness my dear, you know I always appreciate it.

Poeminister- Thank you!

JM- Thank you so much my friend! Your replies always bring a smile to my face. I really appreciate it.
