I’m On Fire By: Noah Eaton 2/25/01 I’m swimming through a sea of flaming silk in the Milky Way Driven by a sirens song, echoing in crescendo Singing my song of affection back, sidewinding through a parallel horizon I am but a mere Little Dipper, pushing up against gravity to find your heart, the ultimate heart of my world How much longer into my dreams will I slide? Fall from this scrabble game of fantasy into reality by your side? How I watch you’ve grown before my eyes in my dreams, only more beautiful every wince Your beauty is incredible, how you lift me to my own heaven, how you set me on fire Tell me, dear princess, tell me everything, show me your heart Could you ever imagine a world without each other in our dreams? I used to see the stars as nothing more than shiny rocks in the sky, when I first dreamed of you I knew they had a much more gorgeous meaning You truly are my greatest teacher, you have taught me so much through the mirrors of space Nothing is ever quite what it seems, much is not real You are my everything, everything I want to believe in, everything I want to see You are the one and only dream I envisage, from my warming heart I beckon As I continue to take the free fall through elevating desires, falling from grace to rapture I’m just catching my lucky charms, while I am willing to pay attention to the facts I can’t hide this desire, you are my souls goddess Sweet beautiful angel, how you have filled my life with warmth and light… Just looking into those beautiful eyes for a single second in reality would be everything I need to rid of this adolescent spell And love you for the rest of my life My heart sets off solar flares of desire My whole body is aflame in the search for the one I’m on fire I burn for you, my love I keep a hold of myself, though I tend to be pulled in every time around Playing tug-and-war with my heartstrings, falling over myself and falling under desire Every drop of stamina moving me forward with strength, still hiding tears of lonely thoughts in my eyes Eagerly waiting for my love, the same way my girl feels I’m on fire I can’t help feeling this way I’m on fire Closer and closer comes this day I’m on fire My body is aflame I’m on fire I am aflame… |
