Petals of the rose you sent and more,
perfume and passion mixed,
the scent of ambrosia's mist.
I breathed deeply of you,
filled my senses
…you.

Answering to yearnings
I touched the petal to my lips,
sipped the merest essence,
filled my desire…
… you.

My eyes went green to emerald
Placing the rose upon my tongue,
I closed my eyes, opened my mind,
filled my love…
… you.

Filled me….
… you.

This was a refreshing read. I liked it very much. I liked your imagery this one. Very visual.

I read alot of poetry of love and of course roses as they are so popular with the talents of many writers but not one of them can shadow the beauty that shines in your works. You always find a new way to share this wonderful symbol so well and your words hold a special way of thinking that really is so refreshing to read. Wonderful write as you have probably guessed by now.

ggrn: Thanks for the uplifting comment. I am glad it can be called refreshing

inot: thank you for your kind words.

Poeminister:You always have sweet words for this huble poet Thanks so much for your encouragements.

Mark: You just overwhelm and amaze me with your assessments of my writing. I feel as though the muse has let me down lately. LOL It is a mutual assessment as I do so enjoy your own work as well. Perhaps we just enjoy a p[oets style when it is close to our own tastes.
anyhow I do apprciate you words....thanks

You know, a lot of people write about roses and make it sooooo cliche.....you however, have written with such grace and uniqueness...I am truly in awe. I shall have to look for more of your work! Thank you for sharing.
