Within These Walls

a year has flown by since i entered this place
quite by random chance one day
instantly i fell in love with all it's charm
vowed here i would stay

in this last year
i've grown and learned so much
from all of your amazing talents
my life has been forever touched

to say thank you
would never been enough to express how i feel
this home away from home
has taught me how to heal

my life was forever changed by passions
and the talent that lies within
it wasn't until i started writing
that my soul and heart began to mend

everyday i am amazed at what is shared here
as i read these pages of blue
you all etch yourself farther in my heart
as i get to know all of you

here's to another year
for i sure shall be around
forever i will cherish and love
this wonderful home i've found

amy m. kennedy

**a special thank you to the following people...
kris (love ya girlie), maree (darlin ya da best), john(without you passions wouldnt be what it is) marge--day one you made me feel at home, thank you, michael (who continues to amaze me everyday) marsha(my new found sis)....

YES .. you have grown ...
and it has been a beautiful thing to witness.
you have grown as a poet ...
but more significantly you have grown in spirit, heart, and soul.
The courage you have shown in the past year is both impressive and inspiring...
and the most wonderful part is...
you're only just begining this part of your journey as you come into your own.
You found your wings Amy-girl ...
send us a post card from the sky
thank you Amy ...
for the touching inclusion of my name in this sincere and sweet tribute.
love ya sunshine-girl

Amy. . .

Has it really been a year??? Wow. . . yes, you have grown by leaps and by bounds. . . and you've taken us with you for every part of it. . .

It's been my honor to know you as a friend. . . something for which I'm thankful for every day. . . and, as Jan said, you're only beginning. . . keep flying, and we'll watch you. . . loving every minute of it. . .

thank you. . .

John
