To Turn A Smile

This morning lost, I felt to be
as fever caught it's hold on me,
and every drop of tears to flow
induced in me, the thoughts I know.

Sitting up and waiting dawn,
reading words that always spawn
the best of me to paint my hues,
as sunlight canvassed thoughts on blue.

My rainbow blend curved upside down
could turn a smile, from once a frown
instead of sliding off its end,
inside my thoughts would rock the bend.

And when your poems reach my heart
my fears and hurts take off, depart
to leave me warm and cozy then
'Til next we meet, my rhyming friend.

'And when your poems reach my heart...'
As this one did, I smile.

Very beautiful!

A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes.
