In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2001-02-27 10:17 PM

A fire burns
as lovers sleep
during spring rain
beneath the earth

In the seas of night
songs voice through
silence, in strides
along the edges of darkness
that speak softly

My lips would dry your tears,
as they speak your soft
words, to a heart
that walks through you
when you are alone

Bare your thirst,
drink of the waters
in passion weeping
your shadows in arms
of tired eyes ready to shut

Of my heart you sleep
in constant dreams deeper
to a journey yet taken

Beside you I lay, in tributes
of the present, hanging your
portrait stretched upon
the earth as my canvas (as)

I wear your m a s k of life,

Together Close
We sleep

************************************************
alot of people maybe will not understand this, sometimes my words go deep in thought.....

"alot of people maybe will not understand this, sometimes my words go deep in thought....." never sell the reader short. We all view poetic gifts through our own eyes. A person might take offense to this statement.

However...your work is wonderful. I see a beauty in this depth.
Super!!!

So might this be where those times of admiration while the other sleeps comes into play? You know, all the wonderful warm thoughts that tiptoe through the mind and heart just simply bringing comfort and contentment. Lovely write from you as always and of course your unique style lends to the quality of this piece.
