This is an older one from my personal 'archives,' just to hold me over until the muse decides to wake up...   There's a candle in each window; There's inspiration in each heart. How much more perfection Could you expect? Drums roll in the distance; The music of elation can be heard. Won't you just listen To the steady pace? As I make my way Through the disorder, I couldn't be more at peace Than I am at this moment. With refined motivation I advance, Noticing the soft breeze Whispering to the swaying trees. If it weren't for this tune, I couldn't tell you About how far chaos Is from my mind, now could I? Who's to judge Where real joy comes from? If it's unfeigned, Who in the world could say a thing? All my worries Quickly disappear from sight; With the help of a new month, I can easily forget my heartache. I would not give up this view For anything in the world. Without it, I wouldn't be as close To serenity as I am. -kh '99 everytime I close my eyes, I see your face, I taste you on my lips... every night I fantasize that I can feel you on my fingertips... |

kris~ beautiful beautiful poem m'friend! as always you express yourself in such a well manner...truly a lovely write! SMILING yes of course "close to serenity" would get my attention (as well as someone else's) but couldn't help but notice we share the same initials...gonna confuse the hell out of the spy who loves me...rofl...but truly, you captured exactly what I hope to someday... |
