sometimes i can't find the words
the words i need to say
there always on the tip of my tounge
but when i go to say them
they simply fly away

perhaps its because im scared
scared of what you might think
afraid of how real this could become
though i've swimmed a million times before
perhaps this time i could sink?

the simple things you do
i'm learning to quickly adore
though in reality you'll never be mine
i'll just quietly be your friend
never asking for more

still i feel our paths collided
collided for a reason maybe yet unknown
and though no it's not love i feel
still somehow my feelings
my feelings have grown

what started out as simple
and quite innocent too
has developed into more
and i just am at a loss
as to what we're suppose to do

taking it one day at a time
telling my heart to take it slow
something inside of me says go for it
as the feelings all the while
are still continuing to grow

a million times i want to say something
but the words just blow away like wind
then i realize it sounds stupid
so i tuck them safe and sound
far away within

perhaps you're feeling the same way
then again maybe it's just me
all i know is something inside of me was lifted
the day that i met you
and now i feel free

maybe one day i'll have the words
the words for this
till the day we meet
i'll just patiently wait
as i send you a butterfly kiss
