The sea awaits , it beckons you
to tell great whales of herring do
But wait , I squidn't ink this through
Pre-octopied , I've floudered too !

Far off sea horse , it's kelp I need
I mollusk scared , anemone
peers up at me from the abyss
there's something very much a-miss

Sea-gullible I shrimped and saved
for this vacation o'er the waves
I must have been some kind of nut
to come here for the halibut

They're groupered 'round menacingly
on porpoise they are taunting me
Star fish I may , Star fish I might
not feed crustaceans tonight !

It will take quite a mackeral
to save my lilly white sea-bass
I hope Jaws has a belly-full
'cause I just saw him swimming past!

But Marlin Perkins would be proud
When I saw him I screamed so loud
A Mermaid came to rescue me
she called me " Chicken Of The Sea " !

Our love like algae soon did bloom
King Neptune said " Go get a room !"
But such a chowder-head was I
I bid girl of my dreams good-bye

The coral of this story's pretty much what you'd expect ,
Her oysters rocked me fellers , but she's still got my respect !

Doc, this reminds me of a song called "I lobster and I never flounder" that was written by Jim Haynes. I love them both!

Dee ,
Actually I remember a song like that , it was funny as he!! ( those are tooth-picks ).
I'm sure that was part of the inspiration . My humor has been lacking a certain something lately , so I thought I'd do a little fishing . Thanks ,

I'm really glad you enjoyed this . If this made you smile , I'll sleep easier tonight , knowing that I've accomplished at least one thing today .

Hey Doc! Went fishing on page four and caught this whale of a tale. Thought I should drag it to the surface so everyone could take a better look. I'd call this one the catch of the day! Hmmmm... I just love Sushi.
