To Be Me Again

I watch the tears
trickle down the panes
and feel them wash away
the warmth of you.

I view them
behind closed lids,
each drop a moment in time
when once they were reminders
of happiness.

I shade my eyes in blue,
deeper all the time
burying my sorrows
in tears that overflow
reading my heart.

I close my eyes to the morn
seeking only darkness
and gloom,
punishing my will,
pondering the causes
of my ills.

I seek to find,
wish to hope,
desire to want,
a release of the reign
of sadness
that has it's hold on me...

To be me again.
~Wynter

I wish it weren't true - but I can identify with this. I wish to be me again as well

Beautiful, Wynter. The search for self I think is a constant, for all of us. To find it and keep it, not easy.

You have been so supportive of my poetry here...and I want to give you a bit of my day today. For the first time, in a long time...I am feeling like myself again. And I wish this for you, too. If I was a huggy person, I'd send ya one...but I'm not. Ha! Hope this will do.

May you wish upon a star and all your wishes come true. You will be yourself again, but you must find yourself first. You must look beyond your hurt and frustration. It will come - be patient.

Wynter - at times one can't go back and 'be me again'. Perhaps this is one of those times. Be you, but be you from today, and let the world open up to you. Go after it, and let it come to you, the person from today.

I think the majority rules in these comments! But you'll go back to being you always, but in a different more experienced way. Your heart won't fade and your creative ability still flows....but you'll change somewhat don't you think? Many many times it's for the better....whatever you do keep on writing like this!!
