On Softer Sands

I’m taken to the shores of softer sands
Where visions of life’s images are sketched
What dreams have not been molded by my hands
The fingers of reality have etched

Gray dawns are turning into golden beams
Life’s bruising wounds that left me in distress
Have turned to hope of uninvited dreams
That kiss my eyes with unknown happiness

Contentment stands beside me on the shore
Amidst the worst of days, without a plea
The winds have brought a gift not known before
And kindly set this joy in front of me

The morning sun is capturing the night
Just as the twists of life are taking flight

Such a wonderfully uplifting and perfectly crafted Shakespearean Sonnet to begin my week... I love it...

Waft every crest upon your destined sea.
Embrace the Wave of Serendipity,
Lest its elusive arcane ecstasy
Refurl with sail for all eternity.

From the sonnet experts, Denise and Nan, I am so glad I did it right. Thank you all for your remarks. Sometimes when you are least looking for happiness it comes to you.
