“ALONE AGAIN TO CRY”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
We thought we would try again, but it didn’t work,
all the things we once had, were just too long ago…
I remember the times, when we were so very close,
wonder what happened,
where did everything go…
We held hands, and we could talk, way back then,
and now there are many things, that can’t even be said…
I learned how hurt and pain, could become best friends,
as I traveled around the country,
straightening out my head..
So now it’s over, many years, but not down the drain,
for I still care in my own way, just not like before…
I really don’t want to let you go, as I see your hurt too,
but I can only say right now,
it’s you, I still seem to adore…
The night that just passed, seemed like one million years,
and I lie awake this morning, after saying a tearful goodbye…
I know my towel is so very wet,
perhaps it’s because I’m here,
“Alone Again To Cry”…
Your poems are from somewhere deep in your soul. Let the memories be laid to rest. With the change of seasons its time to start afresh.
..feeling this... relating much to your words...
very wonderfully penned...
is true..sometimes theres just too much water under the bridge for things to go back to what they once were...and even tho you love each other still, its just not the same love..no matter how deep it is...
hugs, g
February seems like a sad month Bill...I know what I'm going to do...going to a Karaoke Club and singing "The End of the World" by Skeeter Davis. I can really connect with that one right now...James
This touched me deeply. I think there are often times that both don't want to lose what they've had and sometimes it is just too far gone. And that love never really dies, it only changes, just a little. Beautiful Bill. We seem often to share alot of the same feelings.
SEA - morning, and yes, sad indeed. One way to get it out is to write about it, I would hope anyway. Thanks SEA, always nice to see you.
Voiceless - thank you for coming by.
Poet deVine - so true, I now know that it will never come back, as before.
inot2B - thank you for the kind words, and yes, I do believe they come from very deep, in my soul.
dgvarner - I believe there are many that would feel this. And to relate to these words that I have written, is to know my feelings. So much water has flowed, it takes on a flow of it's own, never to be returned, or stopped. Thank you very much for coming by.
Sunnyone - so true my friend, so true. And please, send me an ICQ message!
JamesMichael - this month must be a sad one, and I pray I never see another like it. I would love to join you in singing that song.
dreamkeeper - well, sometimes it is too far gone, and one must do what one must do. And you are understanding in saying that love never really dies, it just changes. I also noticed that the sharing of feelings are mutual. I do like your writings, they say a lot, and have much meaning for me. Send me an ICQ message, if you would.
Palpable Rose - welcome, and hope to read some of your writings. Thanks for the kind reply, and look forward to seeing you again.
CocoBaci - hello my friend, glad that I wrote a little something that touched your heart. Nice to see you, and thanks for coming by once again.
nakdthoughts - nice to see you, and hope that you are doing well.
Bill
Your words are very sad but true. May you find happiness and remember the good things that happened and not the bad.
Moon Dust - thank you for reading this, and for your reply.
Ariana - You are very correct that one must remember the good times. Yes, I do agree with you. Thank you for coming by.
