What Is It You See? What is it you see when you look at me? Do you see the same face that I still see? My eyes filled with the pure wonder of you My lips still smiling at your yes I really do! Can you hear my voice there in your heart? Feel my touch within you even when apart Tell me what and where it is you want to be Tell me clearly and truthfully is it me? What is it you feel when you touch me? Do you feel this same magic and mystery? My skin touches yours and I’m blown away My mouth dries and I don’t know what to say Can you hear the pounding of my poor heart? Wonder if my breath stops will it again start? Tell me what is your need and can I fill it? Tell me clearly and truthfully what is it? What is it you hear when you listen to me? Do you hear my thoughts of can this truly be? My hands reach for you to make me complete Our legs entwined like roses around a love seat Can you feel my longing for even one glance? I wonder if I should retreat or take a chance? Tell me what is you want and of your desire Tell me clearly and truthfully to fan your fire Marsha Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning |
