The Shores of Alone

What madness
proliferates this unceasing need?
I yet become weak, helpless
at the mere thought of him.

What madness
holds me captive?
Refuses to release the memories,
the moments of perfection, long ago.

What madness
pursues me, lest I momentarily
forget the harshness
of my new reality,
which is
madness, indeed
because he is not in it.

perhaps the madness comes from what we don't know, and what we wish we had

Hey, you been peeking again haven't you? With of course a slight change on gender, this one could have been written by me in some respects but I don't believe it would have come out so wonderfully. Loved the read.
