I sat on the sand today
Watching as the waves crashed along the shore
So peaceful and serene
The only sound was the ocean's roar

The sunlight on my back
Blue skies filling my eyes
As I cleared out my mind
Just sitting, and I cried

Some days I think of you and smile
Others I think of you and cry
But always I am thinking of you
My angel in the sky

I could use your wisdom now
Your soft and touching way
How I wish I could bring you back
And forever make you stay

I know that you are watching down on me
Praying that I make you proud
With learning to let you go
Peace within myself is what I finally found

Today thought was different
I needed to hear your voice...to see your face
Wanted to be touched by your beauty
Your never-ending grace

Then it occurred to me softly
As my grin became wide
That never have you left me
Forever, your by my side

So Mom if you are listening
Please just now how much I love you
You are always in my thoughts
I carry you with all I do

If your ever near earth again
Please send me a little sign
You're both my mother and my friend
But for now I let you go...till we meet again

Oh, Aims...I really couldn't express to you how this brought tears to my eyes...you have penned something quite wonderful here. And, as Marsha said, she IS proud of you and the honorable woman that you are. This is stunningly beautiful, m'friend!
