Another Whisper Of Desire

~*Marge Tindal*~

One more whisper of desire
blows the embers into fire
Catching wind of something new
branding memories of you

Ruffled edges of the flame
spark the moaning of your name
Roaring warmth, desirous touch,
caressing kiss, loved so much

Slowly now the flames subside
Singed contentment in a sigh
Hearts now rest in slumbered fire
Wake on whisper of desire

Stir the ashes of the fire
Embers glow with new desire

~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~

...leaving only smoke and ashes baby
very nice Margie-girl...
sensual and satisfying
love the cadence of this spicy treat
this place needed some steam

That's the way I always feel when I read one of your poems Marge...."singed contentment in a sigh." Great little passionate work this one is...have you stirred the ashes this morning....whew things could get hot!!

The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges.

You really know how to send smoke signals don't ya my friend. This is lovely and of course it translates into some mighty pretty colors dancing in the breeze. Beautifully penned and even more beautiful are the thoughts that accompany this cozy piece.

This one is worth donning asbestos attire, Marge. *S* It is stunning! I particularly like the phrase "branding memories of you"... it seems to sum up passion... from the heat of desire to the ache of feeling burned when things go awry.
