The Time we Share

Time is shared intended to repair,
Instead there is guilt.
Did it have to be?
What was it with you and me?
I come over you stay the night
Then the next day we start to fight.
Is this our fate?
What is it about you and me?
Our love is grand it can stand.
Why then do we fight,
Lately we are just two ships,
passing in the night.
We go out and play like children of a younger day
That’s where it ends the game is,
No longer fun,
But has to be done.
Coming home when called trying not to fall.
There is an undying bond,
The boy and his dog,
A love that is so strong.
The things we do seem not to satisfy,
There is an emptiness that is present
The rooms we shared are hard to bare.
Empty wall, Empty stalls,
I look out in the night,
Only to see darkness.
The silver lining is gone,
The rainbow has faded.
Guilt filling your mind,
Is this mistrust?
Anger seeps in,
Mistrust brings the hate,
Where did we make the mistake?
Time has passed, we grew apart.
Can we make a new start?

What tugged my heart in your poem was the questions asked to oneself "Where did we make the mistake, Time has passed we grew apart, Can we make a new start"
