You Are The One

I told you so many stories
Before we became us
That I wonder if you know
My memories of you
Will probably never be
Stories I tell easily.
I took it so much more seriously
Than anything before
And so if I never say
Another word about what you meant to me…
I hope you know
I hope you see
That you gave me…
The rings they will bury me with
Though they’re not upon my hand
The photos I will always see
Though they’re not upon my walls
The words that I will speak
When I am all alone
The days that I will know as love
Though they are now far gone.
You are the one
I don’t think about
Because thinking is so hard
You are the one who lives in my heart
And only there lives on.
