Do you remember the days of old?
When days were warm, and hearts weren't cold.
Days that were full of laughter
couples living happily ever after.

When childrens favorite
games to play
where cowboys and indians,
let's hide in the hay.

Old men fishing
along river beds,
pretty ladies turning
young mens heads.

When cowboys were
the worlds heroes,
and little girls were dressed
with ribbons and bows.

When grass was green,
with skies so blue,
couples stayed married,
and love was true.

Church was something
for everyone,
lazy days spent
in the summer sun.

Ah! I remember
the days of old
when life was sweet,
and the world wasn't so cold.

Enjoy life...this is NOT a dress rehearsal. *s*

Thank you for this, it is wonderful verse.

"When red-haired girls scamper like roses over the rain-green grass,
and the sun drips honey."

The world could use some of its old
goodness, couldn't it..
Or maybe it's there we just have to look for it...
Thanks for writing this!
