Contented Readers

How the Bard would have
enjoyed
the readers of Passions
no barriers
no restrictions
but passionate action!
writing’s a passion!
for with every day,
within a moment’s breath,
rapture will enfold you
truth and love to hold you

sunlight gleams on faces
the moonlight lifts
and graces
as there is woven
a winsome weave,
bringing a long, drawn,
contented sigh on breeze,
as a line is placed, carefully,
for a moment's ease

O the Bard would have enjoyed
Passions
with such a zealous delight
knowing that should he lay
down in blue his write
that it would be read, exalted and
held forth as each word would
meld worth
and precious then of great response
O the Bard would have so
enjoyed Passions

dear contented reader
see what it is you do! See the
joy you bring to the writer
of poetry and prose ~
of life and a single rose ~
mystery with some suppose ~
and all the dreams that glow

for you not only read
but you share and you inspire
lifting dreams further
lifting hopes higher
see what you do!

Continue to peruse,
rewarded bookworm
enjoy the gifts
that leave you warm
and if you are so inclined
to leave a note or two behind
know right then
with your gift of import
you shall go away
with a contented heart.

I don't know about the Bard part because I have my doubts that he ever wrote very much at all. However, I really love the idea of this one and the message is wonderful because it affects all of us....thanks for sharing this...ethome

The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges.

Ethome, how interesting that you should say that...akin, I believe, to some folks believing that we haven't yet walked on the moon! Food for thought, always! Glad you enjoyed!

True words, Sunshine. Poets would be nothing without readers to admire them...Poets make the poems...readers make the poets

The words and wisdom are very true as you know but the originality of the way you share them with us is one of the reasons that I will forever read yours. Superb piece from you and very imaginative to say the least.

And though one exception comes immediately to mind *S*, reading is usually more enjoyable than writing... all pleasure, no frustration. *S* This is lovely, Sunshine!
