Blind-sided

Along the road of life I made my way
Admiring the scenery. I was
Considering the lateness of the day
And looking for a place to stay because
My heart was hoping for somewhere to rest.
The road was long. I was so far from home!
I did not wish to accept second-best,
But really could not continue to roam,
When unexpectedly across my road
Another homeless driver came in view.
He showed me where to find my heart's abode
And gave me license thus to love anew.

Caught unawares, yet now I hope to wend
My way through life with him until the end.

Pretty wonderful way to be blind-sided, eh?!

It makes me think of a song and a movie with it as its title song: Turn Your Heart Toward Home. Have you heard/seen it?

Virginia - Yes, pretty nice. I haven't seen or heard that. I will have to look for it. Thanks for the suggestion and the comment.

Saxoness - Vous etes tres gentille. Malheureusement, ma connaissance de la langue francais est tres limitee. Merci beaucoup. I can read, but it is much harder for me to find the words in French now. I'm really enjoying your multilingual series.

Sven - Why thank you! How could I not be flattered at comparison with Frost? Stopping by the Woods has always been a favorite of mine.

ME - You are so sweet! Hugs to you!

Very very nice. Aren't you glad that don't try to ruin that particular type of blind siding by abusing the laws in court. The penning of this piece is done so well that as a reader I got caught up in it rather quickly but didn't really seem to notice until the end. Beautiful write.

Mr. Bohannan, sir, I am certainly glad such an "accident" doesn't lead to lawsuits. Thank you very much for your lovely comments. No wonder everybody here seems to love you!

Dee, thank you. Hearts really shouldn't be homeless, should they?
