Love blossomed in my Heart like a rose blossoms in spring
Slowly the petals of Love unfolded across my heart
Exposing something so precious and beautiful
Our Love was both destined and doomed from the start

That rose grew from a seed
A seed that was planted by you and me
Blooming from Friendship
Was suppose to be a Love that would last all Eternity

But a rose has thorns
Those thorns are what caused the pain
As now my eyes of blue
Cries tears of Rain

I cry for what might have been
If not for lies and deciet
Cry for love lost and time spent
My Heart now shattered no longer feeling Heat

The Sunshine stopped the day I opened my eyes
Our love, this Rose was built on lies
Suppose our Friendship was too
Only thing left to do is let go...though I hate goodbyes

So goodbye Rose...and goodbye Love
Perhaps we'll meet another day
Fate may be a little kinder
I only have one last thing to say

Memories of our love
Are timeless like a red Rose
But Pain is something that will pass
As Winter is now coming to a close

As Spring approaches once again
The time has come to say Goodbye
Do not weep my love
'Tis no more reason to cry

Your lies cut like those thorns
Broke the wings of this butterfly
Though now you say that you are sorry
Wishing you could Die

But Tis the Rose that dies
Even though again it shall flower
With the coming of the next season
And beautiful Spring showers

I am the one left with the pain
But my heart it shall go on
As now my new day begins
I'll sing another song

Perhaps this one shall be sweeter
As my Heart begins to beat again
As another cycle of love and the Rose
Shall now gently begin...

Wonderful write Amy! Very sad but also so truthful and open...that pain seems to bring out the best in us sometimes though I'll never believe that it's the best thing for us.
As humans in this state of imperfection we encounter pain and discomfort sometimes but time and unforseen circumstances befall all people and happiness can be the same way....I loved the way you put this together...it's so well done!!

Beautifully sad, with an excellent theme, imagery, flow and rhyme. Please take heed to Sven's words, a new rose shall bloom again, destiny will be kind to you if only you believe! If ever you need to talk, just email me because I truly care Amy-girl

Take care,
