Lord, I don't always understand
the how's and why's of your mighty plan.
How someone we love can be gone in the blink of an eye.

But you know things that I don't know
and you hold cards that you don't show.
So it's not my place to stand and ask you why.

I know your mercy is beyond measure.
Your love for me I truly treasure.
So, when I can't see your hand, I trust your heart.

And to know you hold them by your side,
The ones for whom we've wept and cried,
makes it easier to bear the time apart.

I can feel your peace down in my soul.
You comfort me and make me whole.
And I know soon the sun is gonna rise.

Then I'll follow you to that golden strand,
where I'll dance amidst an angel band.
And never again will we say these sad good-bye's.

Hmmmmm, I'm not sure what kind of good-bye this is about...at first I thought it a final good-bye due to loss of life...then it seemed more of a good-bye for an expected long absence

perhaps that's exactly what you wanted the reader to see/feel

each has a definitely distinctive form of pain to endure

of course, there's also a good-bye of rejection, I don't think that's what's at play here is it?

This is absolutely beautiful, TA...I'm sorry if this is from your personal experience. But this was wonderfully expressed, and we don't always understand why He does some things, but we have to trust Him because He knows quite a bit more than we do.

everytime I close my eyes, I see your face, I taste you on my lips...
every night I fantasize that I can feel you on my fingertips...

VAS -- I had a certain loss in mind, but it truly applies to any kind of seperation whether it be merely physical distance or someone who has left this life entirely..Thank you for reading.

Sven -- Hey there! Thank you so much for reading..I truly love your signature!

Snowpants -- Thanks a bunch for reading! The good Lord truly knows more than us and that's why I'm so thankful that's he's in control of my life and not me! Thanks for coming by. It's always a blessing to get a response from you.

TennesseeAngel~
Sweet, sweet poet -
This lovely render certainly holds a message
that I've had to try to live with this month -
I truly hope I can continue to stand strong in my faith
and even stronger on His promises.

One of the blessings of reading here -
is finding thoughts, I might have possessed,
expressed far better than I could have done ~
Thank you so very much for this.
*Hugs*

I do believe that this one will hold special meaning to many in many different ways and I am in that crowd. You have penned a wonderful piece here with much said and much to hold on to. Alot of insight and a lot of promise is to be found in this one and I too thank you for sharing. Nice to see you making appearances with us again.
