Finding a Way Out of Darkness

Virginia Salter

When canyons and caverns
are ebony and deep,
When twists and turns
bring eyes to weep,

When desperation brings
one to the shore,
And emptiness
fills up one’s core,

Look up, listen,
raise praise in song,
Then to your knees
on stones belong.

Then as the waves
break ‘neath your kneel
And sand is washed,
your faith to steal,

The foundation
upon which you stand
Shall remain firm
within the sand.

Thanks, SEA, here, too! Geesh, I thought I'd chosen the dove for the icon on this one and I got a beating heart. I guess it really can work, too, though.

VAS

We have quite an undertow here in CA.....
and it is good to know on whom we stand
when we kneel in prayer,.
His waves rush right over top of us....

You have given me some very refreshing thoughts,

Bob <><

Oh, you have given me a wondrous thought as well...

think of it

Waves of God rushing over us
I know I have felt them
the memory makes me so greatly desire to feel them again.

On Jan 1, 1983 I was baptized in order to ask Him to be my Lord and Savior. By Tuesday, I was filled and washed over with such a wave of love, I thought I might burst with the joy of it!
