Glowing stars appear entrancing,
Clocks stand motionless in frost.
Arms and legs and fates have crossed,
In the moonlight-- shadows dancing.

Carved into the pale wall
As though ancient hieroglyphics--
Phantoms of the sleepless evenings
In eternity enthralled.

One more step and we will soar,
All is turning, all is twirling.
Our reflections-- spinning, whirling,
In the moonlight, on the floor.

In the twilight’s masquerade,
Hungry eyes light up the night
They declare with solemn pride,
“Rather burn to dust than fade...”

Master~
This is quite wonderful !
I particularly am drawn to the unique rhyme scheme.
Very, very nicely done.
