"here look at this" she said
holding the paper in front of me
it was nothing complex really
just a small doodle
but, to me, incapable of doing anything
with a pen and paper
other than writing and origami
it was a small masterpiece
I envied the way that she could make
the lines bend and wind into something
other than squares and circles
when I was lucky to be able to make a straight line
I could see the way that
she used shadows and light
blending and shades
to make a picture of something simple
become something wonderful
I began to hand her back the paper
"keep it" she said
and she smiled

sorry . . . this was a poem originally titled "in the window" but, the formatting wasn't working. . . so, I've changed it to "drawing". . .

but I will try to fix it and show you what's "in the window" later. . .

Anxious to see what's in "the window".

This was different, but pleasing to read Sven.
Expresses simple amazment and awe!

Sven,
It takes a beautiful heart to find all the wonder in such simplicity. Loved this...

Indeed everything is beautiful, it just takes someone with a special gift to see it.
