Though we've never touched,
I have felt your arms around me
in the warmth of an afghan
on a biting November's morning.

Though we've never met,
I recall I've seen your face
in the dancing eyes of a child
blowing out birthday candles.

Though we've not embraced,
I have tasted your kiss
in homemade apricot jam
from my grandmother's pantry.

Though we've not yet spoken,
I have heard your voice before
in the rhythmic beating of raindrops
against a flowerbox under my window.

Though we'll never bridge
this ocean that lies between us
and our vessels drift a seperate course
on this cyber-sea.

I will feel,
taste,
hear,
see,
embrace you,
in every fond memory I have.

This is deeply romantic and dreamy...beautiful words flowing down the creative fantasy page...great pictures and great fun....so have fun and welcome to Passions!

The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges.

Beautiful Michael, absolutely! It's musical and tender. I do think it would become increasingly stronger by removing the 'I have' and letting it be understood. Try it and see what you think. I so found myself wanting to stop at 'memory' as the 'y' rhymed with 'sea' in the stanza above it. Try it and also see was others think.

Welcome!!!!

Sometimes we find someone who embodies everything good we've ever experienced... and we know we're lucky, no matter what the outcome. *S* This is lovely!
