Sometime the cause of an affect
may not be quite what you'd expect
and then there's times when it rings true
"bats in the bell-fry "? I've a few

This is how I think they got in
sit back , relax , and I'll begin
a story of a kid at play
and how he ended up this way

'twas Superman who caused it all
he flew , I jumped , and took the fall
my head impacted with a brick
I wished it had been half as thick

as I had heard my parents say
then bats wouldn't have got in that day !
And that's my story sad but true
right in that split a couple flew

The mom soon called the other dad
that's when things started getting bad
'cause that was forty years ago
and they breed really fast yanno

But it's ok I'm not in pain
you can call me "guano" for brains
and I'll not pout or take offence
'cause that just wouldn't make any sense

Besides , I've got this crazy notion
that all those bats and their commotion
are in all probability
what caused me to write poetry !

Dr.

You must have a keen sense of direction with all them bats up there.....

Hmmmm... didn't realize that they wrote poetry... I'll need to let a few more in myself.

Loved it!!!!! Bob <><
