My niece is going to have a baby
A miracle all the way around
I'm so happy as you can see
Because she died and should be underground

When little they came to visit
Staying for a week or so
Such a doll with a smile that lit
Her face in a naughty glow

I can remember the baths in the kitchen sink
Splashing water, giggles and squeels
A happy healthy child all rosey pink
I still know how wonderful she feels

One night when she was about three
For no reason that we will ever know
This healthy child could no longer breathe
The life from her small body did flow

Rush to the hospital, parents afraid to think
A nurse took possession of this lifeless angel
And breathed life back quick as a wink
But had to repeat again before all was well

This darling recovered and went home
The doctors said it would have been "crib death"
If she had not come back, but gone to her tomb
We are so happy we have many memories left

This beautiful young lady is a teacher today
Giving to her students wisdom beyond her years
Still the wonderful happy child that may
Be a symbol of life and chase away our fears

A young man whom we agreed was worthy
Took our angel to be his wife
And against all odds but by the powers that be
They are bringing forth a new life

I wonder what the end of this story will be
As the years go flying by, do you think
Any of the new little ones will grow to see
A bath in Great-Aunt's kitchen sink

Joy to you and all.

May light shine upon you.

Still I say that "miracles are simply things we have never seen before"

Walk gently, hold tighly to life.

Walk within the light, always.

Ahh the statue stone supporting, is more than a column carved.

ME,

Wonderful poem and great story that you have shared with us all. I am glad that little girl lived to see brighter days and have her future unfold before her. Best wishes to her and her family!!

I think you'd better give that sink a good scrubbing, ME... for my bet is that you'll be bathing something more treasured than the finest crystal... and loving every minute of it! *S* This is great... Congratulations!

Not only does this ring of beauty and a miracle indeed but it also holds a very
familiar story to me and for that reason
I will be saving it in my library. I won't
bore you with the details but let's just
say that this poem is another miracle in itself and I thank you for sharing and I look forward to hearing about the gift your
family is about to receive. Wonderful write
