Sol attacks the windows
I keep meaning to paint black
rouses more than body the past tense
slithers in again

soul parasite
knowing nothing but to feed
on pains memories in its
gluttony rush to surface
gulping air refreshed
knowing they live on
and on and on and

I reach for sonic redemption
to lose and heal within
the sounds of soul
others cannot
know

Musicians salvation
self medicating in sound
sonic landscape swell
grow to surround
that I may breathe again
lifes air

if only a moment
cleanse to remind
who and what
I am

Breathe deep the music
touching healing
bringing me
back to
home

One more refrain
to fuel the self
defines the day
joined one

Muse the rain
flooding heart
bring to me
that I may
offer

My song of thanks
in your ether
world you
smiling
lead

Conducts the Sound of Light
Composing Life
in minor keys
offering
hope

Of true resolution
lift my hearts eyes

Thanks Serenity, glad you enjoyed.

Me, I play guitars, keys, trumpet, vocalist etc , but am primarily a writer of music.
Usually I just use a drummer in the studio and do the rest myself. Hey I cannot blame anyone else that way.LOL

Thanks for the interest.

just a note here...Atel? Frank Zappa was much the same way...he called musicians a "necessary nuisance" LOL...just thought that might be of interest to you!

Beautiful....Strong emotion (especially in the beginning) leading from darkness to light. This poem, I do believe, shows best who you are.

Embracing all depths
from the darkest nights
to the full sun
A man of fierce strength
captures delicate beauty
with a gentleness
rarely seen

I loved it!

Love the musical sense and flow...however you can ask anyone here...I'm as hooked as you are...this is great I really loved it!!

The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges.

My thanks to all.

S- I understand that so well. People often ask "How could replace that person..."
Well usually it is "he or she is not a jerk. And they are reliable. Not to mention they show up on time, sober, and ready to play."

E-glad to know there are more out there.

DK- well you know me, music is the heart of me. Your words responding echo the melodic you, which has always been. Thank you.

Good listening to all.
