Breakfast

I watched
as he slide
the fork
under the
blueberries
and passed
them between
his lips

gooey
drips
of sauce
fall
back on to
the waffle
where
whipped
cream turned
purple

and the
shivers up
my back
make me
blush
while my
lips curl
in a silent
desire
to trade
places

check!

This is a nice look at things I enjoyed the read!

The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges.
