Forever is now…
There’ll be no tomorrow…
It will just be today,
if it comes…

Yesterday’s gone…
Repaid time that was borrowed…
A notch on the belt,
of fate’s gun…

Survival’s a gamble…
Time granted as money…
We each spend what’s ours,
as we choose…

What’s mine to invest…
I again vow, my honey…
What you’ve given, I pray
I never lose…

A very elegant poem, here, I'm surprised this one was on the second page!

"When red-haired girls scamper like roses over the rain-green grass,
and the sun drips honey."

And that's why it's called the present... it's a gift of possibilities. *S*

Beautiful context... a very enjoyable read!!

The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges.
