She Is My Love

She came and aches of emptiness were purged,
She spoke and pangs of sorrow soon dissolved.
She smiled and joys of knowing her emerged,
She laughed and sins of worry were absolved.
She gazed, her eyes the doorway to romance,
She sighed, her beauty real and radiant.
She felt her body tremble as to dance,
She wept her tears in solemn soft descent.
She moved me as none other had before,
She kissed me with a searing, lustful fire.
She touched me just to leave me wanting more,
She loved me with an honest pure desire

She allowed complete and full possession,
She is mine alone in sweet affection.

Beautifully romantic and overwhelmingly devoted...very well done!

The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges.

Structured well, the alliteration and lyric air of your poem gives it the music this sort of passion deserves. Nicely written, David. Thanks for it.

Your talent for crafting poetry of intense and pure emotion is certainly a gift, and one that I hope you aren't taking for granted. I can't imagine any woman not being completely swept away by such pretty words...I always enjoy reading your work.
