The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2001-02-15 07:26 AM

Lover of all times
and places,
Lover of violent crimson passion
and bittersweet words,
Lover of liquified chocolate
heated to boiling,
Lover of magnificent insincerity
and dreams of golden sands,
Lover of freedoms call
and destiny's yearning,
Lover of all women..
Let me touch you
once more
to hold within my arms
the illusion
of our finest hours.
And while I hear you call to me
my arms remain empty
though my heart bursts;
Your ruthlessly seductive voice
wraps me in desire.
My lover
of blackened ice
and blue-red fire..

Dream as if you'll live forever; Live as if you'll die today.
— James Dean

Sandra

I often wonder why so many poems seem to beone sided in their consideration of love - If we cannot or donot love inspite of or because of fault this wlove is fiction - for me you capture loves completeness the only thing left is to find it

Love the poem

WOW!!!!!!!!!!! That one really grabs you and makes you listen. What a wonderful write from you my friend. You have to feel a might better just from getting some of that out. Loved the imagery in this one even if they did come with pain attached and the cadence was great. Well done.
