Cold February. Heated furnace.
And you, my dear, refuse to sleep.
And lights across the window sweep,
And droplets freeze upon its surface.

My eyes meet yours. We dim the lights.
And suddenly, as one, we’re breathing
My hands, around you, interweaving,
I recollect the gone-by nights.

My flesh is burning, -- raging wild!
“My dear, I’m ready to confess...”
You place your hand upon my chest,
And softly whisper, “save it, child...”

Wow! Vivid imagery in the beginning of this and an ending I was truly not expecting.

Love the ending! I loved all of it but especially the ending it leaves the reader thinking for sure.......ethome

The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges.

HI Master,

Wonderful, the imagery was great and the ending I love the idea of leaving it open as well, great read thank you.

Love, Cerenity
