The Midday Sun.

The clock strike twelve
Raging sun on wet foreheads
Time to stop and reflect
Tools of trade aside for a few moments

Fields will not disappear
The sweat will keep on oozing
Hands will still hurt at end of day
The midday sun signifies rest

Time to reflect, time to pray
Take a little time each day
All will be well in the end
For the midday sun means
The presence of God at rest
Besides you for comfort.

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love

Yes, and the keyboard the the pen can also be a tool of trade can't it Daniel? This is a wonderful reminder to stop and refresh ourselves. Thank you for this one.

No matter how hard or hot the day is taking a break and conversing with God can revive us. Enjoyed this very much!

Daniel,
I like the thoughts in this. Nicely said.

Sunshine, Inot, Kathleen, and Poeminister,
Thank you all so very much, there comes a time when we do need to stop and reflect on ourselves and our surroundings. Taking a break to appreciate the presence of God is most important.
