Someday

You rode up on your white horse one day,
and took me away with you.
Something that everyone says can never happen,
but today it did.

Today,
was every "Someday" little girls dream about.
When the world is a wonderland,
and love still means forever.
When Princes are real, and they do come.
And lovers live in castles that no one built,
but just always were.

You wrapped me in your arms
as I stood like an orphan child.
Staring at you in disbelief,
but looking at you with eyes that always believed.
You gazed at me with a silent smile
that cut a path through my darkness.
Your eyes brought my heart to life again,
healing my wounds from dusty years gone by
and leaving my scars deep in the murky past.

You carried me in your arms,
two gentle soft blankets of love,
and sat me upon your horse.
You mounted the steed
and held onto the reins,
as I held onto you.
No greater force could bond two lovers
in such beauty.
The horse galloped wildly,
racing towards the purple horizon.
The clouds were made of cotton candy,
and the sky burst open and rained down
in pink champagne.

The Prince and the Lady
rode through the wildflowers and clover,
destined for the castle that lie in the distance.
It was a storybook ending
to a lifelong dream.
And the Prince and the Lady
will live happily everafter-
until a greater force called life...
...turns the page.

Somedays are much like miracles- simply things we have never seen before.
They are all around us.

Be well

The princess shall live happily ever after, I know she will. Beautiful poem, and I know your dream is just within reach.
