(Reposted to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day...and don't forget to say "I love you")

Ode to a Flower Shop

There are baskets and baskets
and vases galore
there are stuffed teddy bears
sitting plump on the floor

There are tulips in colors
that you haven’t fathomed
and ones that are feathered
like birds, just imagine

There are daffodil faces
so perfectly cast
that they warm up the room
like the sun on the grass

There is purple hydrangea
full and robust
and dainty pink roses
for sweetness a must

A flower shop blooming
so full of perfume
that it wears ode to springtime
to freshen the room

Do you like blue of iris
with nostalgic heather
we have it here
no matter the weather

A flower shop’s magic
is in smiles that it brings
to be part of the music
makes everyone sing.

I was just saying to cowboy lastnight on phone how crazy it must be for you right now.
"Say I love you with flowers"
and poetry OF COURSE ...
Happy Valentines Day Martie-girl

In the evening when you see my eyes
Looking back at you no disguise
Im not sure who you think youll see
Im just hoping youll still know that its me

This is soo beautiful - I think many men should (as I have) recieve flowers - at least once - to realize how they can make another feel romantically

I hope you take time to smell some of these flowers today - it's your busiest day of the year right? I'm bookmarking this beauty!

This is lovely! *S* You made me want to come visit you... but don't worry about where I'd sleep... I'd just lean against the counter in your shop and inhale. *G* Beautiful!

This is so light and lilting and full of melody! I think it's one of my favorites of yours. Thanks for reposting, I don't recall seeing it before and I'm sure I would!

The perfume of the flower shop is indeed sweet. Well said.

Martie, those words alone are a charm!
I love the color!
