It's Valentine's Day, my dear
Should I write a ballad here
I would reveal my love this way
And for once not forget this day
It deserves a chaplain's voice
Florists and card shops will rejoice

I loved you yesterday, my darling
I do love you as much today
But the sweet possibilities
Of tomorrow and forever on
Are what lovers live for
Until life is gone

So this day must forever last
It delves into the future and the past
