In the space between moments

0 posted 2001-02-13 10:39 PM

Hallowed gleam lands on shadows
That within my spirit linger,
Hushing darkness with but a sigh
And loving, outstretched fingers...
From somewhere between strands of time,
Where dreams are touchable,
You’ve been born to me in quiet grace
With your beauty shining, ever full.

I hold your essence, breathe your words,
And wrap you gently in my thoughts,
On wings of air made with glitter-glow
Is how to me you have been brought...
If I could embrace you through this life,
Eternity I would sacrifice,
For nothing else than kissing you
Would ever be able to suffice.

When my mind is blood and shades of gray
And frigid emptiness encloses
Your brightness comes in gentle bursts
And of my doubts, disposes...
I know our love is etched somewhere
Where reverie and light collide,
And I thank the Heaven’s every day
That we took the chance and tried.

leave it to you to give me my worst case of poetic envy for the day

WOW K ... WOW ...
I dont know what I envy more...
this poem or being THIS inspired...

"I know our love is etched somewhere
Where reverie and light collide,"

oh my ... big ole heaving *SIGH*
take a bow sweets ...
you just penned the be-all-see-all Valentines poem.

the comparisons, metaphor, and imagery are outstanding ...
as is your phrasing and vocab choices...
and the rhyme is cadence kissed
but the love-glow in this is enchanting.
Happy Valentines Day Krista

Put in on a card and send it to the "Hallmark Card of Fame" museum. What a perfect Valentine poem and when I say "perfect" I ain't kidding around. Not only is this one beautifully penned but it is done so exquisitely and then toss in the inspiration that could bring such a piece and you have it all. In the library with a huge smile.

(sigh) Oh, Abraham is such a very lucky man indeed to share a beautiful heart such as yours, in which he also has. Oh, your love will forever light the heavens! Oh, this line was so very romantic:

"I know our love is etched somewhere
Where reverie and light collide,
And I thank the Heaven’s every day
That we took the chance and tried."

(sigh) You have such a beautiful heart, my friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light shine upon you this lovely Valentines Day!

Love,
Noah Eaton
