the weeping willow stretches, preparing for morn...
in the serenity of rising sun, tranquility is born.
misty rain falls from the awakening sky...
found within those clouds is the strength to try.

a quiet breeze, leaving no disorder in its wake,
says this promise is now mine to take.
the rhythm of a thousand butterflies’ flights
ushers in the forsaking of sorrow’s bleak nights.

oh, how this music breaks my defenses--
while a meadow of contentment fills my senses.
through the swaying branches sings the wind--
from the orange-red sky cascades of passion descend.

to the ends of the earth this sun shines;
unfailingly the moon provides for me these lines.
in the petals of this rose is my salvation...
the tune found in this intimacy whispers sweet elation.

A pen, a paper, the wind, the meadows. A new morning, a chance at your salvation ( what ever that may be) Culminating in freedom, what a great piece! who can ask for more. Life is great!

A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes.

Congrats, snowpants on your 1000th. I just recently had mine and did even know it till I was told. Very nice, vivid piece here, enjoyed reading. Pretty photo, too, they look like oak trees. Am I right? I don't know the kind of trees for that part of Texas.

Thanks for sharing the photo and the poem.

Oh course,
A beautiful picture to go with a beautiful piece. This was a feeling piece. I could close my eyes and have someone read this piece to me over and over again. Thank you so much. Much much congrats on hitting your 1000th piece. One day, I might make it there, but I'm just not as fast as the others. LOL..

Take care
Love,
Lady
