Valentines Day

Cloud skirted mountains, rainbow skies
Sunbeams prancing off you and I
Loves sweet embrace in the air all around
“Tis” the season for love so profound

Valentines Day is when I sing out loud
Bringing my love down from the clouds

Momentous day when I first saw you
Day to go down in history too
My life changed in so many ways
I’ve walked around with my mind in a haze

Valentines Day is when I make my plea
Loving forever just you and me

Not a day goes by you are not on my mind
No words could I ever truly find
To tell you how much you mean to me
I want to carve our initials in a tree

Valentines Day is when I make my move
Announce to the world that I love you

Neither raging of storm nor freeze of night
Shall keep me from telling what beloved sight
You are to my soul and without fear
No trembling of “self” I shall implore you to hear

Valentines Day my soul shall speak of such love
Never ending in time and blessed from above

No secrets shall I ever keep from the one I love
My sight has never gazed upon such a beautiful dove
I truly desire to promise you forever
There is no one else in this world whatsoever

Valentines Day on bended knee i’m going to ask of thee
To be my one and only Valentine for eternity

Sister Cerenity...I certainly hope you send this to your intended. It's almost as sweet as the poet who wrote it! Lovely, you.

This is wonderful..and you SHOULD give it to him. But then again, maybe you should give him a hammer since he gave you a garbage disposal....

Hi Sharon,

That's cute, he needs one too, he's as romantic as a rock so I never even thought about giving it to him, I know a really small hammer that will only be used for hanging picture, hey I could put him to work hehe! thank you.

Hi Sven,

Thank you for liking the poem, I have to say though he did not like the poem and and in as many words as he could find let me know how diapionted he was that I didn't give him something else, so I change my mind a BIG hammer is what I shall go get and then see if the rock breaks!!!! its OK though because I share my poetry here with people that care and thats just the way it is.

Love, Cerenity

This is a well written delightful piece Cerenity...gives the old heart a lift....take care!
