Tap, Tap, Mew
Virginia Salter

tap, tap, mew
wanna spend some time with you
look into my sad, sad eyes
don’t you see them hypnotize

aren’t you pulled into my plea
won’t you spend some time with me
stroke my fur
hear my purr
let not day your touch deter

I will writhe
I will squirm
I will be your little worm
give me time to love you so
give me time before you go

cuddle me
puddle me
in sweet kisses, huddle me
you will taste my savory flavor
it will be a joy you’ll savor

come on now
do a dance
‘neath the moonlight we will prance
come on be my sugaroo
I will show my love for you

This is cute. I love cats, and still have never been able to capture them in poetry at all. I don't know why. Enjoyed!

Thank you all, I'm so happy you have enjoyed this one.

sometimes I think I could be a cat, right up until they lick themselves or eat a rat, etc. I like the prance and sleep, snuggle and creep of their lives.

I love this!!! I can't sit at my computer at home without "help" from my furry friends... which doesn't seem to improve my typing skills at all. *G* Of course, they seem to think that ANY time I sit down, my lap is an invitation for them to hop up and demand attention.
