third from my insomnia-induced poetry

morning;
or hallucinations in perpetual morning

the streets are empty and the drunk are wandering
colors are again beginning to appear
towers loom higher overhead as i stumble about
people glance at me from shadows
and take no notice

i'm still stumbling
for days now i've been traveling
searching
digging up the earth
burning down the universe
looking for answers
searching for why
finding worlds of nothing

and whether it's an hallucination or a dream
my eyes are still open
now dripping with sleepiness

it's not sleepiness really
so much as being totally and completely lost
being strewn about this sphere day to day
and each day brings new wonders and questions
where are you? why oh why have you gone?
stop following me!

i've given up on explaining myself
this is all quite obvious
and if you haven't figured it out by now
you'll know someday
or you'll never know
so just let it go
and don't ask why i've stumbled into you day after day
my eyes sinking deeper and growing darker with each minute of dream in each perpetual morning
i'm awake and dreaming
or hallucinating you before me
and i just can't stop now
don't get in my way
i'm going to be something

Wonderful!

This reached into me:

it's not sleepiness really
so much as being totally and completely lost
being strewn about this sphere day to day
and each day brings new wonders and questions
where are you? why oh why have you gone?
stop following me!

...thanks for the read...

- it was not an
unmusical sound: long, falling, half a sigh,
like wind in the wires, or a train distancing.

gmornin gnosis.... Geesh - Imagine how you'll be writing when you ARE forty... and I'll vouch for the fact that you're not yet... not even twenty...  keep 'em comin... poetic addiction can be a kewl affliction... (Hey - give your mom that line - She'll want to steal it)...

Waft every crest upon your destined sea.
Embrace the Wave of Serendipity,
Lest its elusive arcane ecstasy
Refurl with sail for all eternity.
